US warned of job losses if drone regulations are too tough

Intel has warned the House Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade that drone development could be driven outside the US if the country over-regulates.

Speaking of the Federal Aviation Administration's stance on drones, Intel says that 'given the lack of FAA permissions, we have been actively flying cutting edge drones overseas.' 

Relocation

Intel Senior VP Joshua Walden said that 'a federal government approach that is overly prescriptive … will deter the private sector’s ability to invent and compete in the marketplace. Worse, it will drive us to relocate our business planning and R&D overseas, where we are being welcomed by foreign countries eager for investment in this new technology area.' Source: The Stack
