London planning and infrastructure head Martha Grekos has resigned from the firm just 18 months after joining from Eversheds, reportedly to take up a position with Howard Kennedy.

Meanwhile, London real estate head Rob Thompson has defected to Dentons alongside head of corporate real estate Jane Schnider and partners Lewis Myers and Rupert Dowdell. The four-strong team all joined Irwin Mitchell from legacy SJ Berwin in 2010 as part of a 20-strong team move.

Investment expertise'

A spokesperson for Dentons commented that the new four-partner team will ‘add heavyweight investment expertise to [Dentons’] credentials, while significantly enhancing our capacity to deliver the corporate and finance aspects of big-ticket real estate transactions, both in the UK and internationally.’

Dwindling headcount

The exodus from Irwin Mitchell’s real estate team comes just two months after City real estate partners Jo Footitt and Louise Cartwright announced their own exits from the firm, joining rival Osborne Clarke. The firm now has just five real estate partners in London.
