Mr Sharp will be returning to a full time fee-earning position in Morgan Lewis’ litigation practice after six years as London managing partner. Stepping up to take his place will be competition partner and UK competition group head Frances Murphy, the former antitrust and regulation head for the now defunct Bingham McCutchen before its merger with Morgan Lewis in 2014. The firm has not yet specified how long Ms Murphy’s tenure as London managing partner will last, though it is thought that she will start on an initial four-year term. It has not yet been confirmed who will be taking over as UK competition head following Ms Murphy’s promotion.
