The value of the virtual currency bitcoin fluctuates rapidly so the firm has introduced a 15-minute acceptance system for clients to agree the exchange rate. When clients decide they want to make a payment they are given an exchange rate quote from sterling to bitcoin which is then valid for a quarter of an hour. Eitan Jankelewitz, an associate in the digital media group, told Legal Futures that they were aligning the price to sterling so that there was only a small volatility risk.
