Agustin Hurtado has been linked for more than 20 years to the hydrocarbons industry through the country’s largest private production company since its entry into Ecuador and its acquisition of the prior operator. Agustin has been responsible for several contract renegotiation processes and the day-to-day management of oil contracts, as well as community, environmental, labor, and related matters and has participated in several international investor-state arbitrations and multiple local commercial arbitrations.
