Archil Kbilashvili

A Senior Partner at MKD Law, Mr. Kbilashvili is a highly esteemed attorney in Georgia with over 25 years of experience. He was a founding member of the Georgian Bar Association in 1996 and remains an active member. Mr. Kbilashvili’s legal expertise covers various fields, including civil, administrative, and criminal law. He offers both litigation and consulting services to his diverse clients. Throughout his career, Mr. Kbilashvili has provided legal counsel to numerous organisations and individuals, such as Georgian and foreign banks, financial institutions, energy and renewable resource companies, shipping and forwarding companies, and airlines. In addition, he has served as a legal advisor to foreign diplomatic representations and international organisations, including the EU Delegation to Georgia, as well as the French, Israeli, and Japanese embassies. Mr. Kbilashvili’s legal expertise extends beyond national borders. He has represented clients before the European Court of Human Rights and has acted as local counsel in several disputes heard by the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). In 2012, Mr. Kbilashvili became a Member of Georgia’s Parliament, and subsequently, from 2012 to 2013, he served as Chief Prosecutor of Georgia.
