Betsy-Ann Howe is a Partner at Hamilton Locke and the leader of the firm’s Tax practice. She is a corporate and transactional tax lawyer who advises Australian and multinational clients on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investment, asset financing, and broader corporate and international tax issues, including tax dispute and controversy matters. Betsy-Ann brings substantial in-house experience, having spent five years as Head of Tax at an ASX-listed financial services group with a significant funds and asset management business, where she supported the establishment of offshore operations and implemented group-wide tax governance, including transfer pricing frameworks. Her practice also includes advising family offices on structuring, investment execution and ongoing tax and legal needs. She has been recognised as a leading tax practitioner by major legal directories and awards programs, including Chambers Asia-Pacific and The Legal 500, and has been a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards for Tax.
