Brigitte A.J. Spiegeler is an attorney-at-law in the Netherlands and France. Brigitte has extensive experience in providing legal services to companies, non-profit organisations and government bodies, and previously worked as a senior policy officer for Intellectual Property at the Ministry of Economic Affairs. She is co-author of various publications on intellectual property and combines her legal expertise with an international background. In addition to her work as an attorney, Brigitte is also a qualified (international) business mediator. In this role, she assists parties in resolving business conflicts in a professional and neutral manner, without the intervention of the courts. Her legal expertise, combined with her mediation skills, ensures exceptional efficiency in resolving complex international disputes, where cultural and language differences often play a role. Brigitte’s educational background includes: University of Amsterdam Dutch Law and European Studies (1995); in 1992, she studied French law at the Université Pierre Mendès France II in Grenoble; scholarship from the Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD) to participate in an exchange programme in Germany at the University of Tübingen and the Court of Appeal in Düsseldorf.
