Carine is the managing partner of Tohme Law Firm, a firm based in Beirut which has existed for 45 years. The firm offers a broad range of advice and high-quality legal services tailored to both businesses and individuals. The firm’s clients are leading companies operating in various sectors in Lebanon and abroad, as well as high-net-worth individuals. The firm’s network comprises more than 7500 elite lawyers globally, located in more than 150 cities worldwide. Carine handles private client services and advises clients herself and through the network of the firm, notably the Lebanese diaspora often with dual nationalities, on matters related to structuring, succession planning, and tax considerations related to this planning, all of which applies to assets located in Lebanon and abroad. On a more personal note, Carine is involved in various initiatives and associations working on fiscal reforms, the fight against corruption, asset recovery, community support, preservation of Lebanese heritage, support for micro-businesses, and the rule of law. She is the President of ALDIC (the Lebanese Association for Taxpayers Rights), President of the Board of Legal Action Worldwide in Lebanon, a board member of the House of Christmas, and a member of several other associations. Carine is a French, Arabic, English and Spanish speaker.
