Carolyn Thurston Smith is a Senior Manager in the Trade Strategy team. She originally trained as a solicitor and worked for a number of years in policy and law reform in Brussels, London and Edinburgh, specialising in commercial law and trade in both an EU and wider international context. Carolyn has a particular focus on, and interest in, data and digital trade, regulation and standards, and ways in which legal frameworks can be used to support trade and investment.
