Dan is a Chartered Trademark Attorney in the IP & Media team at Freeths. Dan’s practice involves all aspects of UK, European and International trademark protection and portfolio management, including strategy, clearance (for use and registration), filing, prosecution, IPO proceedings (opposition, applications for invalidity and revocations), renewal, register maintenance and watching. Dan also advises and assists clients with all aspects of global registered design protection and design portfolio management. He has worked with a wide range of clients across numerous sectors, including fashion, luxury goods, e-commerce, food and drink, entertainment and software/technology. In addition, Dan also advises on copyright issues (including advising on copyright clearance and infringement issues), and assists clients with IP exploitation (including assignments, licences, collaboration agreements, and photo/image release agreements). He qualified as a Chartered Trademark Attorney in 2017. Before joining Freeths, Dan spent 12 years working in the IP/trade marks team at a national law firm.
