Guy Robson is a solicitor-advocate with over 17 years’ experience of acting in high-value international commercial litigation and civil fraud cases. He is a founder and Vice-President of the Collective Redress Lawyers Association (CORLA), an association that advocates for changes and improvements to the collective redress system in England and Wales. Guy has advised on proceedings before the Commercial Court, the Chancery Division, the Court of Appeal and the London Court of International Arbitration. Guy’s experience in collective redress actions began at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he advised a major financial institution in one of the most high-profile group actions of the era. He later joined Keller Postman UK, becoming the partner responsible for the firm’s involvement in the NOx Emissions Group Litigation, one of the most prominent group actions (group litigation orders (GLOs)) ever brought before the English courts, where claims have been brought against many of the world’s major car manufacturers. As a partner at Pogust Goodhead, Guy played a leading role in another of the most significant group claims pursued in England, Município de Mariana v. BHP Group UK Ltd and BHP Group Ltd, in which over 600,000 Brazilian claimants successfully established liability against BHP.
