James joined Peters & Peters in 2021 from the Financial Conduct Authority where he worked as a prosecutor and investigation lawyer. Prior to that, James practiced general crime at the Bar. Since returning to private practice, James’ work has primarily focused on advising firms and individuals on financial crime matters concerning allegations of fraud, the proceeds of crime, insider dealing, Financial Services Enforcement and the trade and financial sanctions regime. James also has significant experience advising on, and making representations to, INTERPOL, particularly in connection with allegations of bribery and corruption. A significant aspect of James’ work is cases and investigations with criminal, regulatory and civil law crossover.
