Josephine CHOO is the Deputy Head of WongPartnership’s Specialist & Private Client Disputes Practice. She has experience in various disputes before the Singapore courts as well as arbitral tribunals under the major institutional rules including the SIAC, HKIAC and UNCITRAL. Josephine represents clients involved in construction and engineering projects/disputes, property disputes involving a variety of projects, such as airport terminals and tunnelling works for rapid transit systems, and commercial and residential buildings. She has also acted for and advised parties involved in disputes under the Companies Act in minority oppression and also restraint of trade. In disciplinary proceedings, she has acted as defence and prosecution counsel in cases involving professionals such as lawyers, accountants, doctors and architects. Her litigation practice also includes criminal law and family law. She has acted for businesses and individuals in matters relating to the Income Tax Act, Goods and Services Tax Act and Employment of Foreign Manpower Act. Josephine is an Accredited Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre and Member of The Law Society of Singapore, Inquiry Panel.
