Jozef Nijns is a Principal Associate/Counsel at Eversheds Sutherland Belgium LLP with more than 11 years of experience in complex and often cross-border disputes. He was admitted to the Bar on 1 September 2013 and is a member of the Brussels and Leuven Bars. Jozef combines a strong academic background with extensive practical experience. He holds a Master of Laws from KU Leuven, complemented by specialised training in Human Rights Advocacy in Practice. He also served for several years as an assistant at KU Leuven and UHasselt, contributing to teaching, research, and publications in the field of human rights law. He has participated in international conferences such as the London International Model United Nations (LIMUN), Geneva International Model United Nations (GIMUN), and Oxford International Model United Nations (OxiMUN). At Eversheds Sutherland, Jozef advises clients on complex national and international disputes, with a focus on international distribution law, commercial agency, contract law, and other regulated areas, often in a transnational context. His work spans strategic advice, risk analysis, negotiations, litigation, and enforcement of judgments, frequently in collaboration with international teams. He has gained significant international experience by working from offices in Birmingham, Munich, and London. Jozef is also an active trainer and speaker, with a strong interest in knowledge sharing and leadership.
