He is a Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and a Barrister-at-Law of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London, UK. Mr. Chowdhury has authored the leading (and the first bilingual) practitioners’ book on arbitration in Bangladesh, titled Commentaries on the Law of Arbitration in Bangladesh (published by University Press in 2024). The celebrated former Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud has commended this work. Mr. Chowdhury was one of the draftsmen of the Bangladesh Income Tax Act 2023 and was the chief draftsman of the Bangladesh Secured Transaction (Movable Collateral) Act 2023.
