Kumlachew Dagne (managing director, KDA) is a seasoned lawyer with experience of close to three decades in Ethiopian legal practice. A graduate of University of Michigan Law School (2005) and Addis Ababa University (1996), Kumlachew provides foreign clients high-quality legal advice and representation on Ethiopian corporate tax, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and investment law matters. Kumlachew has represented a number of foreign companies in multimillion-dollar tax litigation, handling tax appeal matters for the Tax Appeal Commission, federal courts and beyond. He has also acted as local counsel in multimillion-dollar merger and acquisition transactions, privatisation deals and credit facility packages.
