Magda graduated from Bucharest University Faculty of Law as salutatorian of the year 2001, and holds a Master’s degree in business law from the Institute for Business Law and International Cooperation Nicolae Titulescu - Henri Capitant, a jointly administered Institute by the Paris I University Pantheon-Sorbonne and the University of Bucharest Law School, graduating the program as valedictorian of the year 2003. She started her career in 2002 and she specialises in intellectual property, cyberlaw and data protection, competition law and environmental law. She assists Romanian and multinational companies and organisations in intellectual property matters and cyberlaw, and has extensive experience in providing legal advice and representation as regards new technologies, sector specific contracts, data protection and anti-trust issues. She completed an annual course in Competition Law and Economics in 2018–2019 and a digital economy program in May–July 2021 at the European University Institute Florence, Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. Magda obtained Chainalysis Cryptocurrency Fundamentals Certification (CCFC) in December 2021, from the Academy of Chainalysis, the lead company providing blockchain data, software, services, training, and research to government agencies, exchanges, financial institutions, and insurance and cybersecurity companies in over 70 countries. She trained in Cybersecurity Fundamentals from SANS, global provider of trainings and certifications in cybersecurity, and obtained GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF) certification in September 2022. She is an attorney-at-law, a member of the Bucharest Bar Association since 2002, and, since 2005, a certified Romanian trademark, patents, and industrial design attorney and European trademark and industrial design attorney (ID no. 45218). Since 2012, she has been a judicial expert in trademarks and industrial design, certified by the Ministry of Justice. Since 2022 she has been a formal trainer recognised and registered with the Industrial Property Attorneys Chamber in Romania. A member of INTA (International Trademark Association) and of IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals), Magda also holds CIPP/E — Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe certification. She is a member of the Scientific Association of Intellectual Property Law (ASDPI).
