He has extensive experience acting as lead counsel in complex transactions as well as in high-profile commercial disputes and litigation, including in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique. Before founding Avillez Castro – Legal, Miguel held leading positions at top-tier international and Portuguese law firms for over 35 years. Miguel holds a degree in law from Universidade de Lisboa and an LLM from the University of Edinburgh. He has participated as author and co-author in several specialised legal publications as well as speaking at numerous international specialist conferences.
