He has extensive experience acting as lead counsel in complex transactions as well as in high-profile commercial disputes and litigation, including in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique. Before founding Avillez Castro Legal, Miguel held leading positions at top-tier international and Portuguese law firms for over 35 years. Miguel holds a degree in Law from Universidade de Lisboa and an LLM (Masters of Law) from the University of Edinburgh.
