Paulo is a partner in the Tax practice at Demarest Advogados. He holds two master’s degrees: one in Economic, Financial and Tax Law from the University of São Paulo (USP), and another in Tax Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He is the President of the Minas Gerais Institute of Tax Law (IMDT) and a professor of tax law at PUC Minas. Paulo focuses his practice on taxation of natural resources, infrastructure and financial transactions, with relevant experience in M&A, tax planning, legal opinions, transfer pricing, Pillar Two, tax reform and administrative and judicial tax disputes.
