Raphael Bahati Tweve Mgaya, FCG, has 20 years of working experience. He is a certified Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of the UK and Ireland. He is also an advocate of the High Court. He is the Managing Partner at Jurisolutions and Associates. In the past, he has served as a legal counsel on a number of high-profile projects in Tanzania, including the East Africa Crude Oil (EACOP) project and the Tanzania LNG Project. Recently, Mr. Mgaya has refocused his legal research and practice on technology law, which has also led him to pursue a course on Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the Institute of Society and Data Science of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Mgaya holds LLB (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam and LLM in Oil and Gas with Distinction from the University of Robert Gordon, Aberdeen. He also holds an MBA from Mzumbe University, MSc in Finance and Investment from the Institute of Finance Management and an LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights from Warwick University. In 2021, Mr. Mgaya completed leadership training with the Harvard Kennedy School.
