Ronit J. Berkovich is Co-Chair of the Restructuring Department at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. She has represented major clients in some of the largest Chapter 11 cases in U.S. history, including General Motors, Lehman Brothers, and WorldCom. Her practice spans in- and out-of-court restructurings, cross-border matters, and advisory work for Fortune 500 companies. Ronit has particular expertise in restructuring strategies for managing litigation claims, including mass torts and government claims, and has a deep knowledge of insolvency laws as applied to cryptocurrency companies. She has received several prestigious awards/recognitions for her work, including being ranked by Chambers, IFLR1000, Legal 500, Turnarounds & Workouts, The American Lawyer, and Crain’s New York Business, among others. Ronit is a member of the National Bankruptcy Conference and the UJA Federation of New York’s Lawyers Executive Committee. She actively lectures (and has written extensively) on various topics relating to restructuring, including for PLI, Bloomberg Law, ABA, ABI, the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors, the NYC Bar Association, and Columbia Law School.
