Sarpong Odame is a partner with Templars and heads the Firm’s Transactions, Strategic Advisory and Corporate & Commercial practice areas in Ghana. He advises on tax, banking and finance, financial technology, securities, energy, complex restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and major project transactions.
Sarpong regularly acts as lead counsel to financial institutions, multinational companies and high-growth businesses on complex cross-border investments, corporate acquisitions, capital raising transactions and strategic market entry in Ghana and across sub-Saharan Africa. His experience spans syndicated financing, private equity investments, mining transactions and large-scale infrastructure and natural resources projects. He also provides tax advisory support in the context of corporate restructurings, cross-border transactions, and pre-dispute planning.
He is widely recognised for his strong commercial judgement and deep understanding of Ghana’s regulatory and transactional landscape, enabling him to guide clients through sophisticated transactions and evolving market conditions. Sarpong adopts a practical, solutions-driven approach, advising international investors and domestic businesses operating in Ghana’s rapidly developing economy.
