Tana’ania has over 30 years’ experience, practising in Jamaica, the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Antigua, Anguilla and Saint Kitts and Nevis. She undertakes a wide range of commercial litigation and has considerable experience in preparing and conducting complex multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration, especially in the areas of shareholders’ disputes, breach of contracts, and asset tracing and recovery, which often involves urgent interim relief by way of freezing orders, orders for disclosure of documents and information, search and seizure orders and injunctions.

Tana’ania is a member of the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL), the worldwide federation of national associations for accountants and lawyers who specialise in turnaround and insolvency, and has been a contributor to the World Bank’s Doing Business country guide since 2014, as well as the World Bank’s latest project: Business Enabling Environment. Along with partners Daniella Gentles Silvera, K.C., Kerri-Ann Allen Morgan and Alexander Corrie, Tana’ania contributed to the chapter on Jamaica in the Chambers Global Practice Guide to Insolvency, 2023.

Tana’ania is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration and a member of the BVI International Arbitration Centre Committee, which recommends arbitrators for appointment, decides challenges of arbitrators and oversees the application of the 2021 BVI International Arbitration Centre’s Arbitration Rules.

Tana’ania is pleased to serve as a Commissioner of the Regional Legal and Judicial Services Commission, which is responsible for the appointment of judges, officers and staff and oversees the management and administration of the Caribbean Court of Justice.

Tana’ania has sat as a temporary judge of the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal and the Commercial Court of the British Virgin Islands and the High Court in Anguilla and Antigua.
