Willem Liedenbaum is a partner in the corporate/M&A practice group at Houthoff, a leading Dutch law firm, based in the firm’s New York office. He has extensive experience in complex cross-border M&A and capital markets transactions and is frequently involved in acquisitions of listed companies. Willem advises companies and investors on corporate governance, joint ventures, securities law compliance, and general cross-border matters.
Willem joined Houthoff and the Amsterdam Bar in 2012. In 2017, he worked as legal counsel in the capital markets/M&A department of Rabobank, and from September 2021 to May 2022, he was seconded to Sullivan & Cromwell in New York. He was appointed partner at Houthoff in July 2024. Willem holds an LLM in Corporate Law and an LLB in Law from Radboud University Nijmegen.
