Xawery Konarski is a legal expert with more than 25 years of experience in new technologies. He is a senior partner and co-founder of the law firm Traple Konarski Podrecki, where he supervises the Technologies Media Telecommunications (TMT) practices, coordinating projects in Poland and in Central and Eastern Europe. Xawery is vice-president of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT) and president of the New Technologies Law Association (SPNT). He is also a legal adviser to the Internet Advertising Bureau Poland (IAB Poland) and the Polish Chamber of Insurance (PIU). As a legal expert, he participated in the legislative work on a number of laws in the field of new technologies. He is an arbitrator for the Arbitration Court for Internet Domains at the PIIT and the Polish Advertising Council. He is a member of International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), International Network of Privacy Law Professionals (INPLP), International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw) and SABI-IOD (Data Protection Inspectors Association, Poland). Over the past 15 years, Xawery has been repeatedly recommended in Polish and international rankings of specialist TMT lawyers (including Chambers Europe, Legal 500, Rzeczpospolita). He is the author of several academic publications in the field of new technologies and personal data protection law. In 2022 he was awarded the President of UODO Michał Serzycki annual prize “For promoting the value of personal data protection and privacy law”. He provides advice to clients in Polish and English.
