Mr. Hou is a partner in the dispute resolution department at Tian Yuan Law Firm. He graduated from Fordham University School of Law in the United States with an LLM degree. He joined Tian Yuan Law Firm in Beijing in 2015, specialising in cross-border litigation and arbitration involving Chinese law. Mr. Hou has represented numerous Chinese state-owned enterprises and multinational corporations in complex commercial litigation and arbitration cases, including foreign-related arbitrations under the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and Beijing Arbitration Commission rules, as well as international arbitrations under the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and Singapore International Arbitration Centre rules. He is experienced in appearing before Chinese courts at various levels and handling enforcement proceedings.
In recent years, Mr. Hou has been active in the financial sector, representing domestic and international investment institutions in disputes related to exiting investments in Chinese enterprises.
