François Duquette, the office’s only partner and office heard, will leave to take an in-house role at a Canadian pension fund. His colleagues – an associate and one personal assistant- are currently considering their options. The office handled outbound investment work for Canadian clients and used a network of local firms for domestic Canadian work, as it did not practice local law. A&O will continue to use these firms for domestic work and will manage its relationships with Canadian clients on a ‘fly-in-fly-out’ basis.
