International lawyers and bar associations are getting ready for the annual meeting of the American Bar Association next week which will see 7000 lawyers descend on Boston. Held from 8-10 August, the event will host a number of topical sessions including the showcase programme - 'Wiretapping of attorney-client conversations: how can professional secrecy be protected?' Other international discussions include a roundtable onf legal services under the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations and a debate on the role of bar assocations as legal practice becomes more international.
