Applying to become an alternative business structure took longer and demanded more resource than expected, according to research from law firm consultancy isential. In a study of 43 ABSs licensed by the SRA between 2012 and 2014, 89 per cent said they would change their application approach differently. Over half the applications took six months more than originally envisaged. Source: Legal Futures
