Kher Sheng Lee, former general counsel for Azentus Capital, has exited the hedge fund to join The Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) in its Singapore office. Mr Lee will take up the role of AIMA'S managing director, global deputy head of government affairs and head of APAC government affairs. A law graduate of the National University of Singapore, Mr Lee was commended in the recent Financial Times special report 'Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers 2015' for playing an important role in developing asset management standards in Hong Kong.

IDEX Corporation has announced the appointment of Denise Cade to the position of senior vice president and general counsel, effective immediately. Ms Cade joins IDEX after a five-year tenure with SunCoke Energy, where she held the role of senior vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer. Reporting to IDEX chairman and chief executive officer Andrew Silvernail, Ms Cade will now oversee legal and regulatory matters for the Idaho-based applied solutions company. She will also assume responsibility for compliance and environmental health and safety.

Online realty portal Housing.com has named Nandini Mehta as the company's new general counsel. Ms Mehta has previously served in key positions for companies including UVT Motion Pictures, Reliance Entertainment and Percept Picture Company, and was a partner at J Sagar Associates prior to joining the Housing.com team. The appointment forms part of an ongoing senior management overhaul at the Mumbai-based company, following the sacking of controversial co-founder and former chief executive officer Rahul Yadav on July 1 this year. Mr Yadav was unanimously dismissed by the Housing.com board after a series of high-profile spats with the company's investors and rivals, and is succeeded by current CEO Rishabh Gupta. 

Following on from last week, Crown Estates has announced that current head of legal Rob Booth will replace outgoing Vivienne King as general counsel from 1 January. While Ms King currently fulfills the dual role of general counsel and director of business operations, Mr Booth's appointment forms part of a broader corporate restructure that will see the two positions split. Mr Booth, who joined the royal property portfolio manager in 2012 from Herbert Smith Freehills, will occupy the role of both general counsel and company secretary, and will report directly to chief executive officer Alison Nimmo. It is as yet unknown who will take up the role of director of business operations after Ms King's departure.

Scipion Capital has appointed Myriam Ly as its new general counsel. Ms Ly joins Scipion from her previous position as a senior associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel, where she focused on the establishment and structuring of hedge funds. The commodity financing specialist is seeking to strengthen its senior management teams in legal, financing and corporate governance in line with growth over the last two years which, according to the company, has seen significant inflows into Scipion's commodities trade and finance strategies.
