Ex-Barclays EMEA general counsel Erica Harding heads for Blackrock

Alternative fund manager Blackrock has appointed Erica Harding to its team. Ms Harding was previously general counsel for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Barclays Investment Bank. She joined Barclays in 2010 where she was also a member of Barclay's senior management group, sitting on the group and investment banking legal executive committees.  Prior to that, she was head of securities and structured finance at Ashurst. 

Biotech company Amgen has appointed Jonathan Graham as general counsel and corporate secretary, succeeding David Scott who is retiring on 31 August. Mr Graham joins from industrial and consumer goods holding company Danaher Corporation in Washington DC where he served as senior vice president and general counsel. Prior to Danaher, he was vice president of litigation and legal policy at General Electric. He was previously a partner at the firm of Williams & Connolly LLP.

The Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Jenny Winkler as senior vice president & general counsel from 1 July 2015. She will head up Rezidor`s legal department at the corporate office in Brussels (Belgium) reporting to Knut Kleiven, deputy president and chief financial officer. Ms Winkler will also be a member of Rezidor`s executive committee. Jenny Winkler joins Rezidor from Carlson, the group`s strategic partner and majority shareholder. Her most recent position at the headquarters in Minneapolis was associate general counsel, Americas, for Carlson Hotels, where she supported the leadership on all contractual and legal aspects of the franchised business. Prior to joining Carlson, she spent six years with law firm Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis. 

Biopharmaceutical company Tokai Pharmaceuticals has appointed Gerald Quirk as general counsel and executive vice president,  Business Operations. Mr. Quirk brings to Tokai more than twenty years of experience, including the development and commercialisation of oncology products. The company develops novel therapies for prostate cancer and other hormonally-driven diseases. Prior to joining Tokai, Mr Quirk was a partner and co-chair of the life sciences practice at Boston law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart.  Previously,  he was vice president, corporate affairs and general counsel at Infinity Pharmaceuticals with responsibility for the company’s legal, intellectual property, finance and corporate communications activities, and held progressively responsible legal and business development positions at Genzyme Corporation.

Louisville Water Company general counsel Barbara Dickens has exited the as part of a continuing shake-up of top management of the city-.owned utility. Ms Dickens had been general counsel for 11 years, Before that, she worked as general counsel for the Oldham County Schools.
