On Wednesday, Mr Denton was elected to become the next ICC vice-chairman following a vote by the ICC World Council in São Paulo, Brazil. A partner and CEO at Australian commercial law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Mr Denton will be the first Australian to hold such a senior position within the ICC, which represents over 6.5 million members across 130 different countries. ‘My role on the ICC board also allows me to represent Australia in these global discussions, strengthening our commercial ties and ensuring economic growth in Australia is on the agenda,’ he commented. Meanwhile, incumbent ICC vice-chair and Bharti Enterprises founder Sunil Bharti Munil has been chosen by the ICC World Council to lead the ICC as chairman.
