Baker & McKenzie has opened an office in Brisbane, its 76th worldwide office, to expand its coverage of the Australian market in Queensland. The firm planned to open the office in April, but was subject to a formal partner vote. Three partners - Philip Christensen, Darren Fooks and Jo daniels - have joined the firm to lead the office, and will coordinate with lawyers in Sydney and Melbourne. Core practices areas for the new firm will include energy and resources, infrastructure, corporate and M&A, construction, agribusiness, property and government.
