Banking head wins race to become Linklaters managing partner

Gideon Moore, the adviser to Lloyds Bank who started his legal career at Clifford Chance, is to have his name put forward to the Linklaters partnership on 17 November for ratification as their next managing partner.

He has come out as the recommended candidate from the firm's partnership board. Unless a revolution happens among the partners, Mr Moore will start his new role on 1 January. He has been head of global banking since 2011. 

Partner at Dibb Lupton

After graduating from the University of London in 1984, he joined Clifford Chance and went on to become a partner in Dibb Lupton Broomhead (DLA's predecessor firm) before joining Linklaters in 1999. Sources: The Lawyer and Linklaters
