Brown Rudnick recruits head of corporate from Clyde

Brown Rudnick has substantially increased its potential appeal to the Francophone emerging markets by recruiting Phillip Rogers to join them after 11 years at Clyde - just days after two Paris-based restructuring specialists moved over to the firm.

Mr Rogers is to lead the London-based emerging markets corporate team of the international firm. Brown Rudnick describes itself as having '200 high-octane lawyers in key financial centres'. Mr Rogers has developed particular expertise in French-speaking Africa, Russia and Mongolia. Joe Ryan, Brown Rudnick's chair and chief executive, said of Mr Rogers: 'His experience working across European, Middle Eastern and African jurisdictions fits well with the strategic focus of our existing international disputes team, offering strong synergies with our Paris and London teams, which continue to be core areas of growth for us.'
