Carlton Fields in merger to create 370-lawyer firm
Florida-based Carlton Fields is merging with smaller 70-lawyer practice Jorden Burt to create litigation-specialist Carlton Fields Jorden Burt.
Jorden Burt is based in Washington, Miami and Hartford, Connecticut. Gary Sasso, of Carlton Fields, said, according to Bloomberg: 'The fit between our law firms is natural and powerful. Both firms have strong national practices in class-action defense and high-stakes litigation. We see an opportunity to match strength with strength, putting together highly capable professionals who like and respect each other.'
