The firm voted in favour of the move this week. Managing partner Matthew Layton was appointed in May on a platform of streaming the firm’s management. Several leaders currently have question marks over their positions. For instance, unless they are reappointed by Mr Layton, Evan Cohen (head of the Americas) and Guy Norman (global head of corporate) will no longer retain their leadership roles. Mr Layton said: ‘This simplified leadership group reflects the fact that our firm, our clients and the market have changed significantly since 2000 when the current governance was put in place, just after our mergers.’ Source: The Lawyer
