CC trainee talks of work as 'f***ing people over for money'

A Clifford Chance trainee is facing disciplinary proceedings after he appeared on a student website describing his work as 'f***ing people over for money'.

Oxford: Ladishness moment Andrei Nekrassov

The interview with the unnamed trainee was recorded in the streets of Oxford as pubs and clubs were disgorging their clients. In conversation with the reporter from the student site Cherwell, the student says: 'I f***ing love the ladness. The ladness is just basically f***ing people over for money.' Later on the trainee adds: 'I refuse my consent for this to go on the internet and I will sue you if it goes on.'

Inappropriate comments

A spokesperson for Clifford Chance is quoted in The Independent as saying: 'The comments made are inappropriate and they are at odds with our principles and the professional standards we espouse as a firm. One of our trainee lawyers is the subject of our formal disciplinary procedures which may result in termination of the training contract with the firm.'
