CC warns about dangers of UK exit from EU

Clifford Chance has warned of a 'pattern of risk, perhaps long-term business uncertainty, and lack of control' for business if the UK leaves the EU.

The law firm examined a range of scenarios in a report commissioned by lobby group TheCityUK. It questioned the possibility that the UK would end up with lighter regulation if it left the EU, saying that instead it could end up with another ‘UK-only layer of regulation’. The overall commercial regime would end up in a state of ‘uncertainty and doubt’ with years of wrangling, according to the lobbying group. Source: Financial Times
