Chairman departs listed law firm

Rob Terry, chairman of Quindell, has been ejected as chair of the insurance claims law firm after months of controversy and the loss of £2b in market value since April.

Two other directors – who participated in a controversial share deal alongside Mr Terry this month – are also leaving. One is going now and the finance director leaves after the 2015 annual meeting. The deal was controversial because it seemed as if the three were buying shares when they were, in effect, selling. ‘I am clearly disappointed and sorry that events turned out as they did,’ said Mr Terry. A new chair and new directors are being sought. Source: Financial Times
