Chinese firm opens Moscow base

Leading Chinese law firm Dacheng has opened an office in Moscow, aiming to build up to a staffing level of 20 lawyers.

The practice - which has more than 3,000 personnel - now has just two lawyers in the new office but is working in close conjunction with the 25-lawyer Russian firm Lidings. Russian-speaking Chinese lawyer Cai Jiefeng is the  head of the new office. He told The Lawyer: 'We intend to grow the office to a good size and have capability to provide local law advice and execute transactions and projects on our own."
