Chinese law firms fined by regulator

Some of the top Chinese law firms have been fined by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) - and one individual has been handed down a life ban on giving securities advice.

Chinese authorities issue fines to law firms

According to The Lawyer magazine, Dacheng, JunZeJun and Jingtian & Gongcheng are among the practices that have been fined. It reported that Dacheng  received a £154,000 penalty for inadequate due diligence and misrepresentation on last year's aborted flotation of the Xindadi company. The four Dacheng lawyers working on the project were each fined about £10,270 each, and one of them was given a lifetime ban on advising on securities.
