The list, which is compiled annually by charity Business in the Community in conjunction with newspaper The Times, recognises employers who 'demonstrate gender equality as a key part of their business strategy' across all levels of their organisation, including management. Additionally, employers must actively create and sustain workplace cultures which support female employees.
Law firms recognised
Linklaters, Addleshaw Goddard, CMS, Eversheds, Hogan Lovells, Herbert Smith Freehills, Pinsent Masons and Simmons & Simmons have all made the cut in this year's list. Olswang, Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer and Norton Rose Fullbright all secured places on last year's list, but failed to make the cut in 2016. All eight of the firms on this year's list have women partnership number above 20 per cent, expect Simmons & Simmons which has around 14 per cent.
