Clifford Chance Beijing financial regulatory partner Yang Tiecheng has exited the firm to join China’s Han Kun Law Offices. He headed up Clifford Chance's Financial Regulatory Group in China and has over 20 years experience advising on matters relating to China's financial services sector, including RMB internationalisation, banking, derivatives, structured products, funds (QFII, QDII and RMB funds), securitisation, securities and insurance.

Regulatory reforms

He also made significant contribution over the years to the development of China's financial regulatory reforms, having assisted Chinese regulatory bodies like CBRC, PBOC, CIRC, CSRC and SAFE in drafting legislation and providing training sessions. His clients range from foreign multinationals and financial institutions to major domestic players. He joined Clifford Chance in 2001 and was previously an in-house lawyer at government-run Beijing International Trust Co.

Full service law firm

Han Kun is a rapidly expanding law firm with several lateral hires on its books. It started as a boutique firm focusing on private equity and venture capital work but is now set on becoming a full service law firm.
