Clyde & Co has announced that current Hong Kong managing partner Michael Parker will be sidestepping into the same role at the helm of the firm's Singapore office, while Hong Kong partner Simon McConnell will be stepping up to take his place. Mr McConnell has also been appointed to the firm's Asia Pacific Management Board alongside fellow Hong Kong partner Gloria Jones. Meanwhile, mainland-PRC shipping, insurance and dispute resolution boss Ik Wei Chong has been named as Clyde & Co's new managing director for Asia. In his new role, Mr Chong will spearhead the firm's mainland China and regional marine practices while combining his roles on the firm's APAC and Global Management Boards, dividing his time between Shanghai and Singapore.
All changes and appointments take effect from 1 May.
