The Lawyer magazine has reported that the firm is close to launch and is looking for a team of 20 to 30 lawyers. Partners from Edwards Wildman were said to be in the frame but Edwards Wildman has denied this, brushing off the rumours as 'completely false.' However, rumours are circulating that partners from a range of top firms have been talking to the Californian firm. Cooley has also hired a specialist consultant to find potential suitors in the UK if the company were to open a London office. Cooley's best known clients include Facebook and LinkedIn.
