US law firm Covington & Burling is to establish an office in Dublin. The office will be run by London-based EU Life Sciences partner Grant Castle and technology partner Daniel Cooper with new Dublin hire Maree Gallagher joining the team. Ms Gallagher, who is of counsel at Beauchamps, specialises in EU and Irish regulatory law. She has worked for over 20 years assisting businesses navigate the regulatory pitfalls of getting product to market in Europe. One of Europe’s leading food lawyers, her experience covers a very wide spectrum from product composition to labelling and marketing. She also represents businesses facing enforcement action. In addition to her legal practice, Maree runs a consultancy, MGA, where she provides training and acts as a strategic, public affairs and crisis management adviser in her specialist areas.
