DAC Beachcroft has strengthened its cyber and data risk practice by appointing three specialist cyber partners from RPC.
London partners Richard Breavington and Rachel Ford have joined DAC Beachcroft alongside Bristol-based Daniel Guilfoyle from RPC, where they were partners in the cyber and technology insurance team and Breavington was team leader.
All three partners advise insurers and corporates on high-value, multi-jurisdictional cyber incidents, data breaches and technology errors and omissions claims. Their expertise also extends to coverage and policy-wording advice, privacy litigation, and recoveries.
Breavington has spent the past 12 years as a partner at RPC, having earlier practised at legacy Herbert Smith. Meanwhile Ford made partner at the firm two years ago and Guilfoyle in 2020.
Hans Allnutt, head of cyber at DAC Beachcroft, said the trio's hire was part of the firm's strategic investment in growing its international practice for its clients across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
"Client demand has also growing for greater strength in technology errors and omissions expertise, as well as in regulatory investigations and privacy litigation, and we are thrilled to have Richard, Dan and Rachel on board to respond to these demands," Allnutt said.

The hire follows DAC Beachcroft recruiting Signature Litigation partner Paul Brehony, who specialises in commercial and insolvency related disputes, in London in April.
Going the other way, partner Jack Hollings left DAC for Clyde & Co’s financial lines insurance practice last week.
RPC, meanwhile, lost long-serving retail co-head and IP partner Jeremy Drew to legacy Taylor Wessing in early 2026, later responding by promoting 10 new partners in a record 2026 round heavily weighted toward professional indemnity, financial risks and construction, and hiring fellow financial lines partner Tom Mungavon from DWF.
