Data for Q1 shows legal and compliance job advertising growing 38 per cent, year on year, in Hong Kong and 30 per cent in Singapore, according to the Robert Walters Asia Job Index. In Hong Kong and Singapore, the biggest increases in the business function areas were seen in legal and compliance. Demand is climbing in Hong Kong as boutique law firms set up there and seek Mandarin-speaking lawyers to staff their offices and communicate with joint venture law firm partners in China.
